Recommendation for good high chairs for 6 month old baby ?
Planning to buy a high chair to place my 6 month old in when I feed him his solids. He likes to lean forwards but still cannot sit without any of us holding him. Any recommendations on a good high chair and where I can buy it from ? Also please let me know what features I need to look for when selecting a good high chair. Thanks in advance for your answers.

depending on the space you have and your budget, here are two.
1. Chicco Polly--excellent! Folds up very small. You can remove the tray and they can sit up to the table (useful when older) super easy to clean. Doesn't look babyish at all. Comes in different colors and prints.

2. Fisher Price Space Saver-Sits on regular kitchen chair. Takes up less room.

i have a Graco high chair. It is okay but i dont like that the front doesnt open outwards. So i have to put the baby in thru the top...
I have a laurel oak " baby trend "
We just started putting our 5 month old in it as she just started solids. It was really cheap so I didn't think I would like it much but I DO.
It reclines...which is a plus ( my dd leans forward to )
it has a top tray with seperated sections for food and also a tray underneath with a cup holder.
It has a little toy thing attached.
It wheels around.
And like I said its cheap!

I have a Baby Trend. It was the same price as several others which came with attached toys and other options. However, I thought that other chairs had a lot of extras but the highchairs weren't as nice.
Even though it was more plain looking, the seat had more padding, the foot rest was more sturdy and convenient, the size was good when collapsed, reclines to different positions, etc. My son also loves animals. He gets really excited to turn around now and see the giraffe smiling at him (He's 10 months. We bought it when he turned 6 months.)
We chose not to put on the wheels, but it slids on our hardfloors perfectly well without leaving any marks.

I would suggest first and foremost buying a high chair on wheels! We like to eat in the living room sometimes or even for snack in the living room so wheels are extremely important! It makes it much easier on you! Next I would suggest buying one that is completely plastic so that you can just take a wash cloth and wipe it down with out having to wash it every time. I have found some at Walmart or Walmart.com. If you pick one from Walmart's website they sometimes offer site to store shipping so you still pick it up at the store but you don't have to pay extra shipping cost hope this helps! I like buying from Walmart because they are so good with returns. If you get it home and it doesn't work for you they usually return items pretty easy. Good Luck!
i have the safety 1st space saver high chair..
i love it . it just straps onto one of the kitchen table chairs and that is it... then when they get older you can push it into the table and use it as a booster seat... it has reclining positions as well..
this way you can take the high chair with you when you go to a friends house or for a road trip..

We got the fisher price chair that attaches to your existing kitchen chairs. We love it. It is very sturdy and grows with the baby. It is also easy to pack and take with us when we travel. A bonus: It is very reasonably priced at Toys R Us
I have a pretty standard model from Graco and I love it. The back reclines in 3 positions, it has a 5-point harness and a fixed 'hump' between baby's legs so they can't slip out, the tray has a removeable liner which is dishwasher safe, it has 4 locking wheels, the cover/pad is vinyl so it's easy to clean, it does fold to store (but is still rather bulky) and the seat itself can be raised/lowered to accommodate any level that the person feeding the baby may be sitting at. I got mine from Zeller's (I live in Canada) but they are available at Babies r Us as well. I would definitely recommend this highchair to anyone!
