When did you introduce your son to the potty chair?
My son is 18mo and I bought him a potty chair to sit on before a bath. He always urinates in the tub. I mainly bought just to show him what it is. He will sit on it and read books. When did you son get a potty seat?

My son was potty trained at 15 months.
my eldest son is nearly 3 and hated a potty chair.I have been training him for 8 weeks now(he is doing so good!,even dry underpants at night!)I just used a seat on the the toilet. My youngest son 20 months, refuses the potty chair too and wants to sit on the toilet like his big brother.
good luck it is hard work!
I think two is the perfect age for a boy I've heard alot of people saying boys are alot easier to potty train then girls
Your on the right track..they say u r suposed to let them sit on the seat and let them get used to it so they get a feel of it and it gives them a little control and not the whole pressuring of the potty training thing. So thumbs up to u! I let my soon do this around the same age and it started using the potty all on his own and was completely pottied trained at 25 months( including through the nights). When he does get used to it he may want to actually have the potty chair that fits right on the toilet seat (mine did) which makes them feel like he a Big boy! Each child is different and will do it when they ready......and may have their own preference on which type of seat they will like.
I just potty trained my son and daughter. What worked for me was The Potty Stool http://www.thep… I started by just setting it at the toilet. My kids immediately climbed up on the stool and discovered that they could safely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and they were potty trained very quickly. My daughter was trained at two and my son at two and a half.

It really helps boys to pee standing up so they can see what is happening and connect the sensations. The Potty Stool lets boys pee standing right into the toilet with no mess.

I like that I don't have to double the steps of potty training by training them first in a potty and then training them to stop using a potty. And not dumping and cleaning a potty each time is great. The best thing is that kids use it for years. I hope this helps you.
